Las Vegas Maternity Photographer {Goulet Baby Boy}

What can I say… sometimes you just get lucky. And what I mean by lucky, is having lots of gorgeous friends who love professional photography.:)Jessica has modeled for me more than once so I knew we had to do something just a bit ‘over the top’ to really make her smile. Thank you to Jamie Rubeis for collaborating with me and Mary Rendina for your amazing assistance. Also thanks due to Floral Couture 2000 for the head wreath and hand held baby’s breath. I think we can all be guaranteed this one thing  - this is going to be one gorgeous baby!!!

Las Vegas Portrait Photographer {Annie+Matt)

Ah a couple after my own heart. After all its not just about your wedding day photos. Its about the memories you’ll create simply being in love and CELEBRATING IT, year after year after year. Annie and Matt were married here in Las Vegas approximately 5 years ago from the date of this shoot. We actually started off at the Anthem Country Club golf course to ‘reenact’ some of there actual wedding day portraits. From there we took off and headed off to the Dry Lake Bed and got even a bit more creative.

Celebrating you Annie & Matt! Be Blessed and Keep Kissing!

Las Vegas Photographer {Spectacular Bride Photoshoot}

I had so much fun on this amazing photoshot opportunity with the team over at the Spectacular Bride Magazine! Here are some of the images that I submitted and are currently being featured in both of their 2014 publications.

Oh and there is some EXCITING NEWS at the bottom of this post as well!

Models, Jessica and Samuel Goulet, Jessica Sinter, and Katie Haddad
Wedding gowns from David’s Bridal and Tuxedo from Men’s Wearhouse.
Hair and Makeup by Makeup in the 702.
Decor by Semper Fi EventsEnchanted FloristRSVP Party RentalsPaper and Home, and Jovani Linens.

Quote taken from the Spectacular Bride’s blog announcing the two 2014 cover winners:

“Every year after our bridal fashion shoots, we end up with hundreds of amazing photographs by local Las Vegas wedding photographers. It is always a difficult decision to narrow it down to approximatley 24 images for each magazine, but even harder is narrowing it down to two amazing cover shots Our graphics team poors over all the images looking for images that have a special quality that will reach out and attract the eyes of prospective brides to be. We think you will agree that these two photos are deserving of this honor.”

Las Vegas Spring Preserve Wedding Photographer {Gracie+Andrew}

I’m back with my first blog post of 2014. For those if you who don’t know my mother recently passed that the beginning of this year. I am getting caught up today and will be blogging sessions all this week and next staring with the amazing wedding of Gracie and Andrew!

What a day! I’d love to say, a perfect beautiful November sunny day – but NO… rain, cold and everything this couple wasn’t expecting. LOL I only laugh because besides that EVERYTHING about this DIY wedding was perfection! Thanks to one creative bride and Angelica McDonnell of Green Orchid Events. Gracie has to be one of the most talented individuals I’ve ever met. Every details was her idea and custom created with her very own hands. This totally worked out in our favor too! Since it poured the ENTIRE day I offered them a reshoot for their couples portraits. I was able to arrange for Men’s Warehouse to donate Andrew’s full tux rental at no additional charge and since Gracie had made her bouquet and Andrew’s boutonniere with fabric flowers we had the exact set up we would have on their wedding day. Mind you the day of our re-shoot at the Springs Preserve just happened to be freezing too! LOL but it all worked out. Gracie and Andrew are now expecting their first bundle of joy and its a BOY!

Congratulation’s Gracie and Andrew! Be blessed and Keep Kissing.

Kaye M Scrivo - As the mother of the groom I am certainly biased but have to say
“what a beautiful wedding!” Gracie was the most amazing bride. Despite awful weather the smile never left her face and she was determined to enjoy her day. Which she did along with everyone else.
The decorations were beautiful! The fact that she made most of them, even more phenomenal!
We are so lucky to have her as part of our family!
The pictures are gorgeous and remind me of so many wonderful memories of that day!
Kaye M Scrivo

admin - I just saw this comment Kaye. But you are absolutely right. Gracie is one in a million! By the way my middle name is Kaye. Kaye was my grandmothers name. :) She was my favorite person in the world so you must be special too!

Las Vegas Wedding Photography {Randi & Anil}

As I was picking the images for this blog post today I openly confessed to my husband how much I really wish Randi and Anil lived here in Las Vegas because if they did, we would totally be hanging out with them! I knew simply from their engagement session that this wedding was going to be one swanky event. Of course, like most weddings it was romantic but these two lovebirds also know how to host one amazing party. The entire day was full of so much love and great energy, I honestly didn’t want to leave at the end. There are so many people to thank for making this day so perfect but before I do, I want to thank Randi and Anil for being so incredibly great! It truly was an honor to be a part of such a special day in your lives.

Congratulations again to the New Mrs. and Mrs. Ramcharan!

Las Vegas Portrait Photographer {Annelisie}

Had such an amazing time photographing and stylizing Annelise’s High School Senior Portraits. As an upcoming 2014 graduate of Palo Verde, Annelise has been significantly impacted by the theatre. When she told me how much she loves Gretta Garbo, I knew we had one amazing session ahead of us! Lucky for me, Annelise already had the wardrobe for this look so I’ll I needed to do was pick the location and book a hair-makeup stylist. Location was a given. Nelson’s Landing is one of my favorite places to photograph and happened to also be the ideal location for this vintage shoot. I also encouraged Meridith, her mom to join in the fun and take a few shots with her daughter too, which probably gave me one of my favorite mother daughter images of all time. These ladies were not only so fun to work with but both proved to be beautiful women both inside and out. Thank you to Samantha and Kristina of Stevee Danielle’s for the amazing work you did on her hair and make up.

Bravo Annelise!

Meridith - Such unbelievably beautiful work, Norina! Thanks again! We adore you!

admin - Thank you Meridith! You are both amazingly beautiful women inside and out — truly one of my favorite clients to have ever worked with! I hope to keep in touch :))

Los Angeles Engagement Photographer {Ashley Rae + Michael}

Even in the midst of this crazy busy Fall season I had to make blogging this session a priority. Last month I had the pleasure of booking Ashley Rae and Michael’s wedding at Lake Las Vegas set for next July. Only catch was they first met and currently reside in Los Angeles and wanted their engagement session to reflect their True Love-Story.

So LA bound I was! Their session included all of their favorite places – Including the DASH bus where they first laid eyes on each other. So romantic!!!

I had the most fantastic time avoiding security ;) and photographing this amazing couple… hope they did too!

ENJOY!

{PS – BIG Thanks to the little Sis and Bro-in-law for putting me up at their place and to my mom for assisting and driving the get-a-way car!}

Las Vegas Portrait Photographer {Carynn}

As a PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER, sometimes you simply MUST shoot just for FUN!!! No practical reason… just from a place of desire and desperate INSPIRATION!

And that’s when a friend calls.

Thank you Jamie Rubeis of Jamie Rubeis Photography for bringing me along this inspired-styled shoot. We both had a blast with Carynn, a gorgeous and aspiring actress, months ago when she was in need of a glamorous headshot.

Carynn, not only are you absolutely gorgeous but you are one of the most inspirational people I’ve ever met!

Had me some additional fun with these artistic edits.

Hope you enjoy.

Las Vegas Wedding Photographer {Jackie + Jason}

Jackie + Jason

I knew as soon as I met this amazing couple that photographing their wedding day was going to be way too much fun! And if I hadn’t of been so convinced at that particular moment, I was most certain after their ‘teacher themed’ engagement photoshoot at Mt. Charleston. The connection between Jason and Jackie is truly inspirational. I seriously could photograph them all day long if they let me (lol – I guess they kinda did!). Even though I had not previously photographed a wedding at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, they were so awesome to trust that I would be well prepared for their wedding day. I am so grateful they a slight risk by choosing me as their photographer because not only do I love this couple but I absolutely fell in LOVE with the Springs Preserve as a wedding venue! Rissa of Scheme Events did such a fabulous day of orchestrating the entire day from beginning to end. I also had an amazing team with me that day, including Jason Skinner who was my 2nd shooter and Brooke Rogall, my lovely ‘and pregnant’ assistant… so thank you both for sharing your awesomeness!

Dear Jason, Jackie, Lucy and Ethan, wishing you all the very best your NEW life together has to offer!

Congratulations to the NEW Mr. and Mrs. Jorjorian; I hope you ENJOY reliving these moments again and again!

The CAST: Rissa Gunderson of Scheme Events, Tanya of Make Up in the 702, Angie Kelly of Peachy Keen Unions, Gabriel Ortiz of All Events Production, Char Williams of Primrose Lane Flowers and Travis Allen as Elvis.

Las Vegas Bridal Spectacular {An Award-winning Booth}

If you would have told me even three months ago that I would be doing my first bridal show this year; I probably would have graciously replied, “You’re Crazy”. But there I stood this past weekend at the Cashman Convention Center, amongst some of the most respected vendors in the biz and now, ‘fellow exhibitors’ of this year’s Bridal Spectacular 2013! I can’t even express the TLC and STRESS that went into the creation of this Award Winning exhibitors booth. You know the phrase about ‘it taking a village to raise a child’??? Well it could now be added, ‘…and an exhibitor’s booth for Maple Hill Photography’ LOL. As much as I hate admitting it, when it comes to crunch time, my Type A personality easily dominates any ‘free spirt’ my more laid back, artsy side posesses.  Given our last minute decision to exhibit, it literally took an All Crew On Deck approach to pull this one off! But in the end I don’t think any of us would have had it any other way:)Michael, my husband, was more than amazing and willing to let me invest in this new endeavor. He also stained most of my wood walls even though some had to be finished in the triple digit heat! Ashley Thompson of 503 Couture was there every step of the way. Responding “YES!” and “NO WAY!” to all of my crazy ideas. I was so lucky that she had just restored the two dresser sets depicted below and we were able to use them in the booth!!! Also her hand painted frames were the perfect finishing touches! Brian Campbell of Real Pro Home Improvement is a respected carpenter and all around Handy-man here in Las Vegas. His idea for creating the walls for my booth and willingness to put it all together (and tear it down) was over the top amazing of him! Veronica of Nostalgia Resources was so generous to lend me the same chair I had rented from her in the engagement shoot we displayed above. If you are looking to add vintage props or accessories to your next event or photoshoot you really check out her rentals by clicking here: Nostalgia Resources. Of course, what’s a home without fresh flowers? Catherine of Layers of Lovely was so sweet to meet my last minute request for a bouquet using the color pallet of my booth and a few succulents to add a bit of that desert vibe to the mix! Oh and I loved the rustic box she displayed them in!

Thank you to the amazing team at Bridal Spectacular Debra, Laura, Ty and Barbra for putting on an amazing show! It was such an honor to be a part of this event. Can’t wait for January’s Expo!

And finally, my miracle story. I deliberately took a step back from my business this summer to wrap up some projects, refocus and rest. So even going into this new endeavor, funds were extremely limited from day one. After I had exhausted all of my available funds and favors, I was still left without flooring. I knew I could figure out a way to make it happen by asking mom and dad for a loan or booking some last minute mini-session but I decided to just turn it over to God. I’m not one to pray about little things like this but I literally went to bed Saturday night with the thought, “God if its important to you that I have flooring for my booth (because You know, its important to me) I trust that you are going to make it happen”. I woke up to an email the next morning from a lady in our church who wanted to know if I would be interested in trading photography services for her husband installing custom flooring in my home! I called her the next day and not only were we able to work out a trade for custom wood flooring for my booth but the exact shade of wood I had my heart set on! Francisco Da la Cruz with DLC Carpet was amazing to work with! His response time to my texts and calls throughout the experience was so professional. I was also amazed at how quickly he worked and the quality of the flooring he installed. God really does care about the desires of our hearts – even the silly little things too!

Even with such a talented crew I could have never made it happen without the funds to pull it off! I have to give a HUGE and special THANK YOU Mom&Dad, Janet Zak and the rest of my amazing clients for having faith in my talents and a desire to invest into professional photography!

 Oh and I almost forgot, thank you Alexie for all your help and bringing us lunch!:)

Las Vegas Wedding Photographer {Erica + Joel}

I love my church weddings! It’s always great when you get to photograph a couple who’s love you’ve had the privilege of witnessing from the very start. Erica and Joel have waited a long time for this moment… their entire lives in fact! I personally couldn’t be more thrilled that both of these amazing individuals found such a perfect counterpart! They are truly best friends and I think you’ll agree when scrolling through these images that their chemistry and love for one another is extra special. I remember when they told me at our bridal consultation that they were going with a Travel themed wedding; I was so excited! They thought of every little detail AND with the help of their wedding coordinator Ashley Thompson with 503 Couture, executed their vision perfectly! It seemed like only yesterday we were standing at the Dry Lake Bed photographing their Engagement session  (click here to view) and abracadabra here we all are!

Las Vegas Engagement Photographer {Jackie+Jason}

I am so grateful that this session turned out as amazing as is did since I made Jackie and Jason wait soooooo long to make this themed Mt. Charleston engagement photoshoot happen! But scheduling outdoor photoshoots are always ‘weather permitting’ and we needed some green to grow back to really pull off the look we were aiming for. When Jackie originally booked her wedding I came to find out that she is an elementary school teacher and immediately the wheels started turning. As you can probably tell from my portfolio – I love adding props to my sessions! However, over the years I have learned that there is definitely an art to doing so. If props are just thrown into a session for the sake of ‘doing something you saw on Pinterest’ it usually results in an epic FAIL. But Jackie and Jason were all about doing something fun and different so it totally worked out! I can’t wait for this lovely couple’s wedding at the Springs Preserve next month :)) A special THANKS to Nostalgia Resources for gathering the additional props and Cassie Alvord for Jackie’s beautiful hair and makeup.

Enjoy!

Las Vegas Wedding Photographer {Andrea + Brian}

WOW. It seems like just yesterday I was taking Andrea and Brian’s Engagement Portraits up at Mt. Charleston (Click here to View Post: Las Vegas Engagement Photographer). I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more lovely couple than these two. I am so grateful and honored to have been chosen to capture the most amazing day of their lives! It all started at THE HOTEL with the girls getting ready with hair and make up by Gina Conte From Tease Salon and MakeUp in the 702. Of course, Andrea and the girls were totally excited but I couldn’t believe also how relaxed everyone was! I loved so many of these moments; You could really tell just how close these girls were and how much they loved their friend and Bride! I especially loved the moments shared between Andrea and her mom… I love when the mom cries! LOL!

While this was all going on, my partner in crime for the day, Emily Ku was photographing the Groom and Groomsmen at a friends home. I thought these guys were looking quite dashing in their plaid ties and hand folded handkerchiefs! Emily later confessed that she had to help the guys with a tie or two:)Gotta love a second shooter who’s willing to go the extra mile! And with that we were all off to the beautiful Anthem Country Club! I love everything about this property! All the natural landscaping, the ceremony by the water and that gorgeous sunset glow I captured during the Bride and Groom’s final portraits! Kimberly Benson and the staff is really on top of everything and great to work with too!

It really seemed like this couple thought of everything; CD of their favorite music for party favors, the signed bottles of wine and champaign they plan to open each milestone anniversary and more! My favorite details were the centerpiece arrangements by Primrose Lane Flowers and the lovely cake by DW Bistro - I would describe both of these details as ‘Simple Elegance’! I also had the pleasure of meeting and working with Angie Kelly of Peachy Keen Unions — What an AMAZING officiant! She was so well spoken, tasteful and personal – I thought she was playing a part in a movie… she was really that good! Oh and did I mention that this entire bridal party knows how to party???? I’ve never seen so much action on the dance floor thanks to All Night Long Entertainment!

Pretty much everything about this wedding was PERFECT but most of all THE COUPLE!

To my amazing clients, the New Mr. and Mrs. Bounds,

May you love each other more and more with every passing day!!

Congratulations and Best Wishes!!!!

- Norina

Las Vegas Wedding Photographer {Rosenthal Wedding Part Two}

Photographing this destination wedding in Camelback, Arizona was a total TREAT! Not only am I a huge fan of this couple but also a FAN of the entire Snow family! I met Stephanie and JD years ago during a family session up at Calico Basin that her sister Adrienne had arrange. It was there, that I first witnessed the very special love that Stephanie and JD have for one another. A few months later JD called and wanted to propose to Stephanie at the Neon Boneyard. JD purchased a couples session as a Valentines gift to Stephanie and while I was shooting popped the BIG QUESTION strategically in front of an old sign that said, “Paris” – since they had first met at the Paris Hotel. Obviously, she said YES – and well, here we all are a year later at the beautiful Sanctuary Resort. Their entire wedding day was truly something something out of a movie. So much excitement, love and yes, lots of happy tears — I don’t think anyone really wanted to see it end. And thankfully it doesn’t have too since these photographs will keep them reliving and remembering their wedding, day after day for a long time to come!

Congratulations again Stephanie and JD!

Enjoy!

Las Vegas Engagement Photographer {Randi + Anil}

What can I say? Sometimes you just get lucky! Beautiful overcast day, slight breeze, gorgeous couple, great colors… location… and the list could go on! I’ve known Randi since we were kids and was oober exctied when I received the call that she was in need of a wedding photographer! It was easy to tell that this amazing, ambitious and talented duo are one perfect fit! They met back in 2008 through work; they were both working on the same army project. But it wasn’t until after Randi left the project did their romance start to bloom. They enjoying many activities, specifically working out at Primal Fitness. They have booked the most awesome venue at Red Rock Hotel and their theme is Rustic Modern. I am so excited to be a part of their big day this November!

 CONGRATULATIONS once again Randi and Anil!!! Enjoy!

After really getting to know them, I am looking forward to their wedding day at the Springs Preserve even more than before!

I should also mention that Gracie teaches the 1st Grade and Andrew teaches PE  —- I guess that would make the apple make more sense! LOL

Las Vegas Wedding Photographer {David + Susie}

Well I did it!!! Managed to blog my first full-length wedding! David & Susie were married back in July of 2012 – and yes, they have had their images for quite some time now. Blogging is no joke my friends but I am thrilled how this first ‘full-length’ wedding post turned out thanks to BlogStomp! Back, forever ago, when Susie asked me to photograph her and David’s engagement session (click here to view post) I was genuinely honored but even more so excited about the potential of photographing their wedding day! David and Susie’s wedding and reception was hosted at the International Church of Las Vegas. However, we ventured up to beautiful Mt. Charleston for their formals. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect!

Enjoy!

Las Vegas Engagement Photographer {Brandie+Rob}

I’ve always loved photographing in Downtown Las Vegas! Even when I started taking photography back at CCSN I would find just about any excuse to shoot Downtown. Thankfully Brandie and Rob were all about the Downtown Vibe too! I was so excited when Brandie called me with news of her engagement since we went to the Las Vegas Academy together FOREVER ago! I can’t wait to photograph these two lovebirds as they say “I do” this April 2013 at the Artisan Hotel. Not only is the Artisan a fabulous location for a wedding but Rob will be awaiting his bride in full Navy uniform! Ooooohhh La La!!!

Las Vegas Family Photographer {The Snyder Family}

Where do I start? Shannon (mom) is a fellow professional photographer with the cutest studio in Oregon called Defining Details. The Snyder family once lived here in Las Vegas and was recently back on vacation. Shannon contacted me a few months ago wanting professional portraits taken out in the desert while they were in town and of course, I was thrilled. But here’s where it gets fun. At the last minute, I remembered that my favorite prop vendor in town Nostoglic Resources had a blue trunk that would match the Snyder’s attire perfectly. I called  to secure the rental and decided that I just MIGHT need help caring it up the mountain, so I recruited my teen son Jonathan to tag along (with pay of course :). I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WAS THINKING… It really wasn’t that heavy but the trail to our destination was far from smooth and caring a large trunk plus my gear up a mountain proved to be quite the workout, even with everyone’s help. By the time we got to our destination my arms were literally tremmoring… which means I couldn’t even hold my camera steady. How embarrassing! I am so glad they got a kick out of it and waited patiently for my arms to relax so we could actually start shooting. All throughout our photoshoot,overwhelming feelings of love and joy came over me. Later while looking through their images I thought to myself… what an extraordinary family! I text Shannon that evening on a hunch and asked her if they happen to be Christians and to no surprise, she replied yes. She told me that her kids had even asked if I was Christian when they got back in their car after our shoot. I just love when God connects people after His own heart. This session proved to be a blessing to me in more ways than one.

Enjoy!!

I was so so so happy when that call came in asking about my engagement sessions soon after Michael had surprised her with a proposal in front of our entire church! What a romantic and brave thing to do Michael:)And while I consider Michael to be the luckiest man on the planet right now, after spending some quality time with these two, I was certainly convinced that he is worthy and totally in love with this amazing woman. I can’t wait for this 2015 April wedding!!!

Las Vegas Newborn Photographer {Welcoming Everly Rose}

I am so in love with this family! I met Angelica years ago when she found my photography  site and starting referring me clients out of no where. I was like, “Who is this amazing lady to send me all of her friends!” And so our relationship began. I have patiently waited years since to pay her back for her kindness so I know we had to do something extra special for Everly’s Newborn Photoshoot. Everly Rose has to be one of the most loved babies to have ever been bore.

I know many prayers were said, speaking her life into this world. I’m sure mommy and daddy agree, it was so worth the wait.

Enjoy!

Malibu Maternity Photographer {Anticipating Haven}

So there’s a funny back story to this Malibu, California Maternity Photoshoot. It includes crashing a movie set at 6am in the morning and sitting in a car for an hour waiting for the sun to rise. But that’s a story for another day:)Ashleigh and August are not only dear friends but their wedding was one of the very first I ever photographed. I can’t wait to hold Haven in my arms today!

Enjoy!
